EMAIL: Lemydanger@aol.com NAME: Christian Lennertz TOPIC: Glass COPYRIGHT: I SUBMIT TO THE STANDARD RAYTRACING COMPETITION COPYRIGHT. TITLE: Glass Marbles on a Table COUNTRY: Germany WEBPAGE: Sorry, I still have no one. RENDERER USED: Povray for Windows 3.00e TOOLS USED: Moray 2.5 RENDER TIME: 223h, 24min, 1.0sec (800 x 600, +A0.3 +Radiosity +Atmosphere) HARDWARE USED: 100 MHz Pentium-PC, 16 MB IMAGE DESCRIPTION: Do you remember those glass marbles we played with in our youth. So, here are some off them. When i heared the topic of the competition, I remembered our garden-house,where my brother and i played with those marbles on a table. And sometimes the sun shines through the window, and you could see the dust in the light. I tried to create this scene for the competition. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: The whole scene was modelled with the Moray 2.5 modeller. I used only simple objects. The textures were token from the Moray-Libery, or designed with the Moray 2.5. The light through the Window is a simple spotlight with an athmospheric effect. The sky is a cube, where a point light shines on. Very hard for my computer to calculate was the wineglas, a lathe-object, in who are laying some marbles. The wine-glas has an other Ior than the marbles. And it stands in the spotlight cone with athmosphere, and radiosity was on. I hope you enjoy this picture, Christian Lennertz. PS.: Please excuse my bad english.
