TITLE: Neo-Punk Cinderella NAME: Claudio 'Naxos' Gallego COUNTRY: France EMAIL: cgallego@nordnet.fr WEBPAGE: http://home.nordnet.fr/~cgallego TOPIC: GLASS COPYRIGHT: I SUBMIT TO THE STANDARD RAYTRACING COMPETITION COPYRIGHT. JPGFILE: neopunk.jpg RENDERER USED: TOOLS USED: RENDER TIME: 51h12m37s (1 processor) HARDWARE USED: IMAGE DESCRIPTION: It is a 90's version of Cinderella, a neo-punk version ;^D ... DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: Ok, for this one also, i used Alias, because ... Yes, DepthOfField and Glow effect is GENERATED by Alias, and you can notice that ther is a bug in it : the d-o-f function of Alias is a post-process (like glows), and it does NOT blur anything in the refractive part of objects...But ok, it looks good like that :). I can only say that the effect onto the coussin is a displacement mapping : I first rendered from top view (not in glass, of course ;^) then i used Photoshop to design the map... Then i put a long noise bump map onto the glass shoo, to prevent to have a "too-pure-nice-glossy" effect, and to be more realistic.
