JPGFILE: astil.jpg ZIPFILE: astil.zip RENDERER USED: PoV 3.0 TOOLS USED: Moray 2.5 RENDER TIME: about 78 hours HARDWARE USED: Pentium 133, 16 Mb RAM IMAGE DESCRIPTION: Not much to describe here :) The image depicts a collection of glasses standing on a highly reflective Surface. I experimenced a bit with various backgrounds (a kitchen-like scene, wood), but I think the background (or rather the absence of a background) I choose looks good enough. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: I started with modelling the various glasses in Moray using the Rot. Sweep funktion (not much of a problem, such glasses are very easy to custruct). You will notice that I changed the transparency value of the standart glass texture to 1.0 (i.e full transparency) because I thought the original texture darkened the scene far too much (the glasses looked somewhat stained). Next I added the various liquids. The white wine in front was the most difficult to create, it took me several tries to get it right. One time it looked like urine, the next time it looked like if someone poured yellow paint into the glass. The two red juices in the background were simpler to create. I added a ripe red pigment and about 60transparency. The rest of the time I spend trying to find the right camera angle and the right positions for the lights. You will also notice that the picture has a resolution of about 800*536, since I cut a bit of the lower parts (the reflection of the wine glass looked very strange, as if the wine- and glass object intersected each other).
