===== I was wondering when a Daedalus would show up. Here it is and I like it. ===== Wow. Excellent detil and effect. Very artistic and emotional. Great use of color. My 2nd place image. There's nothing lacking here. Congrats! ===== Great attention to detail, and foundation for your style. The foreboding Gothic archetecture gives me the chills, well done! ===== excellent castle. ===== The faces on the bridge and walls kinda ruin the effect a little, otherwise a great picture! ===== Maybe a better look at daedailus? ===== you really needed some more atmosphere effects. Very nice ===== impressive castle ===== Maybe a few evening/morning starts would be nice, apart from that excellent ===== Where's Icarus? The castle looks much more medieval than ancient greek... ===== Amazingly detailed castle and cinematic view - I like it! Wow. Judging from the style of building, this looks north European, Dadealus must be cold! ===== Good composition, original interpretation! ===== nice trees. ===== What's the focus of the image? The castle? Flight is the topic, not awesome castles with a little extra to keep yourself in the competition. High Artistic merit, low Concept points. ===== I like that castle! It looks great! ===== Nice details without looking too fussy. ===== Nice perspective. ===== Is the subject of this image 'archictecture' or 'flight'? The image is too dark - it looks gamma corrected for an Apple-type display. ===== Obviously this is very accomplished, and also has a finished look that is missing from many images. That said, it is a real shame that the figure of daedalus is so murky and small. The citadel is very well done, including nice details like th faces on the walls. The setting is good, and the use of imagemaps is good. ===== Very nice, but the flight theme is not fully integrated. ===== Nice but the topic is flight isn't it? nice canidate for the architecture catagory ===== A fine image, except that the majestic castle almost completely distracted me from Daedalus's joy at being free -- reduced to a winged dwarf tucked away in the top right corner. Perhaps a change of viewing angle or some added visual effect to throw more focus onto the central character. ===== But what about the castle? I really really like your castle and the excellent point of view. ===== Your Archetecture is awe inspiring! Bravo. ===== Very well done. nice composition ===== WOW! WOW! WOW! Now I'm all depressed. I'll never be able to make an image as good as this one... ===== Damn beautiful picture; What a Computer this buddy has! Is that raytrace? ===== Sorry, but I think that it looks like the castle is the main thing, and the flying man just an after thought. But I must say that it is a rather nice looking castle! ===== Has wonderful Artistic and TEchnical merit but does not show the theme well ===== (BTW: Technicaly, Daedalus flew from Knossos with his son, Icarus...) ===== Great modeling, same for the textures. I like this one, easily one of the top images in this competition. ===== very nice image. my only problem is with the overuse of modelers, texture makers, and paint programs. I REALLY dig an image written by hand and colored / textured with original work. other than that i liked it ===== The only thing that bothered me about the picture was that Daedalus was just too close to the edge. Remember, rule of thirds! ===== I would rate this image as number three right after autr6. Great concept, good detail, a real visual treat. Now if only it wasn't quite so dark... ===== Typical gorgeous SJG image. The castle was the standout in this one. One flaw was that Daedalus was too close to the castle--either show him just barely leaving his window/rooftop, or else show him at some distance. This composition had a bit of a cramped feel. Great pic nevertheless. I think the only reason you haven't won is that your images are too good, so people look and see that you're using a professional package, and mark you off for it. Try using one of the free packages one time and see what you can do with it. ===== A superb castle! But it makes the flying character very secondary in the picture...
