Stonehenge Author / Artist: Judson Powers Rendering Time: approx. 18 hours Shows Stonehenge as it would have looked at the time of its completion. Besides the one overhead area light, there are four point lights that are at four important positions of the sun (something like summer and winter minimum and maximum) -- they are supposed to concur with the structure of Stonehenge. They also cast neat lines of light on the picture. The picture is at 1 unit = 1 foot scale. A few things that may look wrong but are actually right: The large blocks (sarsens) _are_ supposed to be orange-brown sandstone; they are only gray now because of age and lichens. The inner blue stones are really supposed to be that thin, according to recorded measurements.
