Contents ZIP-file: BLOOD.POV BLOOD.GIF Written by Joost Egelie - dzine. This scene started as a test for designing fluidal objects - simply said drops on a table. By default, I start with a red pigment when testing an object. In the end the thing looked just like blood. And by a stroke of cybernetic lightning, I came up with this idea. It's my symbolic suicide, since I'm off the Net by 1 December - I'm moving from the Netherlands to Belgium. The pencil is worth rendering in close-up! It was made using CSG with primar objects ( planes, cylinders and cones). You wouldn't believe how difficult it is to sharpen a pencil in POV... you can't just difference the union with an inversed cone. The drawing on the paper was made entirely using Adobe's Photoshop. No scanning was done! Finishing touch using a spotlight centered above the scene. Well folks, as I mentioned before, I'm moving to Belgium so I'll be cut off the Net. How to mail me after 1 December? Not by e-mail - only by snail-mail... Joost Egelie Genieskensstraat 54 3630 Leut-Maasmechelen Belgium Before 1 December it's just dzine@euronet.nl So... Trace a Ray! and Happy Rendering! dzine Joost Egelie
