DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS ANIMATION WAS CREATED:
I spent most of my time during this period making a walk cycle with a blob figure created in povray. Its foot placements are defined such that there is zero slippage! 
I kind of ran out of time for implementing any kind of story with it.
