ANIMATION DESCRIPTION:
A parody of Japanese mecha anime, in which an ant uses a toy robot left in a sandbox to defend his anthill from an aardvark.
DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS ANIMATION WAS CREATED:
I modeled all of the objects in POV-Ray, and mainly just moved my camera around as I translated them, rotated them, and did whatever was needed for each particular cut. The ant running along the sandbox rim is the first time I've ever gotten legs to move sort-of correctly. As the cuts were completed, I edited them into AVI files with Asymetrix DVE, then used the DOS program AVI2MPG1.EXE to convert the whole thing into an MPEG file.
