TITLE: The Changing Gallery COUNTRY: Australia WEBPAGE: http://home.netc.net.au/~pmemery/ RENDERER USED: povray 3.02 TOOLS USED: Cmorph, Animator Studio, Movie Maker (SGI) CREATION TIME: Hmmmmmmmm no Idea HARDWARE USED: Initial render and morph was with a 486DX2 66, Animator Studio on Pentium 200 to create Qtime mov, Movie Maker on SGI O2 to create MPG VIEWING RECOMMENDATIONS: Fast Pentium (200 or better) with the vidieo display set to 24 bit ANIMATION DESCRIPTION: I hope that the morph is still in the spirit of the comp. With only a 486DX2 66 time has been a killer. Prob the bigest hurdle to get over has been the conversion to MPG from the original TGA format of the frames. The SGI that I have access to did not like the TGA format, so had to convert to Qwicktime .MOV using the "Intel indeo R3.2 [32]" compresor with key framing set to every frame and 100% quality, this was the only way I could get the SGI to except the animation. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS ANIMATION WAS CREATED: As can be viewed the source frames contain scans of sketches placed onto flat surfaces. There were only 2 frames that were rendered with povray, and with a DX2 66 and glass etc that was a time consumer. I then used a program called Cmorph to great the transitional frames, up to 60 at this stage. then as time is very close to the close of entry I used Animator Studio to creat a ping pong of the original frames and add the exrea frames giving the pause effect. Time is almost up so must end. All the best to you who have read this far. Regards Phil Memery.
