IMAGE DESCRIPTION:
                 Two great inventions, Photography and the Box Camera.
Photography was invented in 1839 but was not readily available to the general public till the invention of the roll-film camera in 1888. I have an Eastman Kodak Brownie which was my first camera. It was also my father's first camera and was bought about 1910. I have modelled it as it would have been when new and placed it in an early Twentieth Century setting.
                                     
DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:
                  This image is mainly simple CSG. The wallpaper pattern is made from a Fractint fractal, as is the carpet (reflection in lamp body). The lace tablecloth is also a fractal, used as a height field, with an edge of tori.
                  The photos are from the family album. The album in the image is modelled on a 1929 album but the oil lamp is generic.
                  The lamp light is an area light under the shade. A couple of spotlights have been used where fill was needed.
                  The image is all original for this round, except the table which I had made a few weeks ago for another project. The table top is made with a sphere sweep and a prism.
                  This image looks best in Photoshop on one monitor, not so good in Paintshop Pro on another monitor. I have been unable to get my head around the complexities of Gamma etc..
