TITLE: d Dolls RENDERER USED: Pov-Ray for Windows v3.1 TOOLS USED: Spatch, Hamapatch and Photoshop(for conversion to jpg) RENDER TIME: 02h 11m 31s HARDWARE USED: Pentium 200Mhz IMAGE DESCRIPTION: Quote: "What I believe about dolls," she said, "is that they can do things they will not let us know about. Perhaps, really, Emily can read and talk and walk, but she will only do it when people are out of the room. That is her secret. You see, if people knew that dolls could do things, they would make them work. So, perhaps, they have promised each other to keep it a secret. If you stay in the room, Emily will sit there and stare; but if you go out, she will begin to read, perhaps, or go and look out of the window. Then if she heard either of us coming, she would just run back and jump into her chair and pretend she had been there all the time." - from the book 'A Little Princess' by Frances Hodgson Burnett N.B: Emily is a doll bought by the little princess. In this povray scene the dolls are having a ball of a time when nobody is around in a boy's room. Dialogue for the scene: Pirate: "Ahoy matey, seems that I have caught something preciousss here in my hands." Clown: "Gulps..." Distressed Damsel: " Ohhhh...why does it have to be me..me..meeee.. that get caught in here? Somebody helpppppp me pleaseeeeeeee....." Pirate: "Well that is b'cuzzz m'lady, you are the only lassy in this room...seems that we 'got' you from the master's sister's room one fine night...Hahahahaha.." Distressed Damsel: "Sighs.." Clown: "Gulps...gulps..." Crew: "Da da da dee dum...and a barrel of rum..." Audience: "Ooooohs.... Ahhhhhhhhhhs....." Question is will the little marionettes be having fun too when nobody's around?...hmmm ;O) DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: The scene is sketched first on a piece of paper. From there, the modelling starts. The faces, hands, hair design, letters and the marionnetes are taken from my previous entry in the irtc competitions. The rest are modelled using Spatch. The Spatch models are then exported to Hamapatch where the textures are applied. Textures used are from the include files found inside the Pov-Ray for Windows v3.1. The rendering(800x600 at anti-alias 0.3 using just one area light placed right on top of the centre of the scene. There are 10750 frame levels to this image and its pov file stands at 4.76megabites zipped to 828kilobites. :O)
