IMAGE DESCRIPTION:This image is part of a series entitled, "Monster Food."  The image's title plays on the title of Yanagita Kunio's treatise on monsters in Japanese folklore, "Youkai Dangi."  A dango is a Japanese confection made of soft rice gluten, grilled and smothered in a sweet sauce.    So after much ado, we have here a monster dango dedicated to Yanigita Kunio, complete with hair, varicose veins and all.  Enjoy, and Happy Eating!
DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:The dango balls and the sauce were created in Organica and imported into Ray Dream.  Hair was made by making several copies of the dango balls and applying a "spike" deformer.  after that it was just a matter of getting the transparency to look right in the sauce and set up the lights.
