The encounter of the four elements.

       DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:
All the components of the picture were written directly on POV3, without any modeller.
I used Photoshop to create the heightfields (earth, lava and sea) and the image-map of the sea froth. I used "explode.inc" of Chris Colefax ( great thanks to him !) to figure the spatters.
I used halos (in preference to new "media"...) for smoke and fire.
I placed a red light source (looks-like a box) inside the lava heigtfield.
