The image on the television set is a screen shot from a great TV show by
the name of ReBoot which happens to be 100% computer-generated.  I decided
that, given the nature of the competition and this month's topic, involving
a computer-generated "cartoon" would be very fitting.  I thought I'd work
in the "comics" side of the topic as well, as seen in the "Far Side"
calendar on top of the VCR.

There are a couple of odd references I thought I'd point out, aside from the
ReBoot image on the TV and the "Far Side" calendar.  First, the panels on the
TV and VCR where you might normally find the manufacturer's name say "POV-RAY".
That picture hanging on the wall is GPBRIDGE.JPG, my entry in last month's
compeition.  The lettering on the set of books on the top shelf of the cabinet
reads "Deus Ex Machina Encyclopedia", which you could take in a couple of
ways.  I couldn't resist. ;)

It took some doing to get the cabinet texture to look realistic.  I based
it upon the stock wood on a cabinet I have near the computer.  The tiny
rounded edges that abound in the image may not seem to make much difference,
but they really are a vast improvement over the way various objects looked
without them (such as the cabinet, VCR, etc.).

One more thing: the included source does not include the image maps used.
This is because including them would make the source too large to be worth
the download (I made them...er...big).  If you really want to get a hold
of one or more, contact me and I'll be more than happy to provide them.

P.S.  I do realize that the screen grab from ReBoot and the "Far Side"
cartoon are copyrighted.  I don't intend this image to be infringement
of any sort.  If anyone takes offense, note that this can be considered
homage to a great show and a great comic strip.
