The basic image is is a baby buggy, hop scotch 'path' and a tomb stone. The meaning is you're born (baby buggy), play the game of life (hop scotch) and die/move on to the infinite game (tomb stone). The baby buggy was too dark ar first, thus a spot light was born ;-) to lighten it up a little with out using ambient lighting. Because of the image size, a high anit-aliasing value was needed (0.1) for the folding top of the buggy. At higher resolutions, this becomes less criticle... The hop scotch path was designed to be smooth and shiny where you first start (ie birth), and to get progressivly more worn and dull as you live, finally ending in on a very rough square (ie death). The tomb stone has a nice epitaph, indicating only the game of life has ended, and that the infinite game continues. The letters are engraved using difference (The chars were a pain because I used merge in constructing them rather than unions (allows for clipping of the letters) and when two cylinders/spheres are the same diameter and merged, wierd things happen). The highlight was intentionally placed to 'dot' the I in LIFE (even though it is all caps). Another symbolic thingy. As this is my first pov creation, I welcome any/all critiques of the work and/or organization of the scene files and/or easier ways to do things... If you use all or part of the 'stuff' included, please mention me, and I would also like to see what was done with it :-)
