# `lxc completion bash`

Generate the autocompletion script for bash

## Synopsis

Generate the autocompletion script for the bash shell.

This script depends on the 'bash-completion' package.
If it is not installed already, you can install it via your OS's package manager.

To load completions in your current shell session:

	source <(lxc completion bash)

To load completions for every new session, execute once:

### Linux:

	lxc completion bash > /etc/bash_completion.d/lxc

### macOS:

	lxc completion bash > $(brew --prefix)/etc/bash_completion.d/lxc

You will need to start a new shell for this setup to take effect.

lxc completion bash
```

## Options

```
      --no-descriptions   disable completion descriptions
```

## Options inherited from parent commands

```
      --debug          Show all debug messages
      --force-local    Force using the local unix socket
  -h, --help           Print help
      --project        Override the source project
  -q, --quiet          Don't show progress information
      --sub-commands   Use with help or --help to view sub-commands
  -v, --verbose        Show all information messages
      --version        Print version number
```
